So, now that seemingly the Sunshine Award Nominations have swept through and now comes to the final one that I received during that two-week hiatus. Not sure why I am putting this here other than the typical fact that it feels like that there should always be an introduction to the post that takes up at least four of five lines so my mind does not feel like it is going to explode. Anyway with that said. Let’s start.
So this one was by Animereviewergirl and her blog Shay-Shay’s Anime Blog. Check it out she does a lot of discussion based posts that can really get people thinking be it in the anime community on certain topics or what anime means to people, she also does the occasional anime review and a Sailor Moon Crystal episode review.
I am not sure if I will nominate anyone, I think I will, but I will keep that a secret till the end.
The Rules (Since this is the fifth post I am dedicated to posting the rules):
– Thank the Person who nominated you
– Answer the questions from the person who nominated you.
– Nominate a few other bloggers. (I am adding how there is no set number some posts I have seen nominated 2 others 7)
-Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you nominated.
-Notify the bloggers on their blog. (I more than likely will on twitter as well)
– Put the award button on your blog. (More than likely I will put it on the about page)
So, like anyways, those were the rules time for the questions.
- If you couldn’t write about anime on your blog what would you write about instead?
I have tried, and people might have noticed the few posts scattered about comics. It feels like either talking about comics in an issue to issue basis or films or television shows that are based on comics would work for me. The only reason that I could think of on why I would not work on an anime blog would be that I was not into anime to begin with.
- What anime took you the longest to finish?
I am going with the fact that it is a series that is completed. This one is a little tricky since some series I can finish within a week. That was what it was like when I first got into anime. There are some series that are on hold that I come back to every now and again. One being Hayate the Combat Butler. I would have to go with Shakugan No Shana, which would be season 2. I stopped after season 3 since I was just so fed up with the screwed up passing and how boring it was. Not sure why I continued season 2 which took a few months to watch, I think three. No I take it back, Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha. I watched season one back in October. Did not get to season two and three till March. I finished season three the day Vivid came out. Now since it was not licensed to stream the final two episodes are still not subbed, so I am not sure how long it will be, but right now for the series to be completed it is at nine-ish months.
- Favorite anime couple?
Now I am going by a Canon relationship and not one people want to happen. Fate and Nanoha, those that seen the series, clearly there is something behind the scenes with those two. Clearly how can there not be. Even Vivio calls them both mama. If that does not count, which it should, then Tatsumi and Mine from Akame ga Kill.
- Why did you decide to start blogging?
I decided to start blogging in order to practice writing in a different medium, hopefully talk about anime and manga with people, and things along those lines. Which I have succeeded at so far.
- Do you hide your blog from others?
Yes, since liking anime is a secret of mine from my parents, thus my blog needs to be a secret too. My brother who knows I am into anime also knows about my blog, he is disappointed in me, but he does not care about anything.
- What anime character do you look up to?
It is more of a concept rather than character, but the hero be it if they are the rookie or the obvious hero, I still look up to them. They have the ability to do great things and decide to use that for others.
- Has an anime ever scared you?
Kara no Kyokai or Higurashi when they Cry. So many scenes in Higarashi that are cringe worthy when it comes to the torture, the moe gone killers, and just about everything that can throw you off. As for Kara no Kyokai, it is hard to explain, but I want to say it was the third film and what is exactly happening. It was with the chick with the same powers as Shiki and what happened to her. Still want to rewatch both series again. I am also thinking about getting the Higurashi Visual Novel since it is out on Steam.
So, it turns out the person I was thinking of nominating already was nominated and I do not wish to give them another one unless they would like to be. So, thanks again Animereviewergirl for the nomination, and you should check out her blog Shay-Shay’s Anime Blog.
