Hello, it is that time again where I look at what I will be watching, and announce what my weekly reviews will be for this new season. I would like to state that April I am taking a break from blogging. So, weekly reviews, although I have not decided if I will do individual posts or a three in one, probably the first one, they will be out at the start of May. I also will not be focusing on individual series like last time. I will put focus on two series however, but that will be for the first three episodes instead of first episode. Simply put it, there will just be this post, a three episode test, a mid-season impressions, and final impressions. So I guess it is time to begin.
Weekly Reviews:
I am doing two once more. One here and one over at Anime Corps, that too will be having a similar treatment to the weekly review on this blog. But time to say what they are.
Twin Star Exorcists:
This one is here. I think the anime was first announced in December, either way that was around the time I decided to start reading it. It is enjoyable, but very battle heavy at times. It is a monthly series so a battle that takes several chapters, well, it will be tricky with an anime. I only say this is due to the fact that there aren’t even 30 chapters at the time of writing this.
With the fact that there is an original character to appear in the anime I am assuming one of a few things. It is either going to have an original ending, 10 episodes, or several filler like scenes. Something will have to change, since I doubt they will make a few episodes dedicated to just a single fight, maybe the final fight.
I can see this being like lasts summers Actually I am. I really like the manga, it is just as an anime, and it probably is not going to go so well. I could be wrong. Either way I am prepared and looking forward to it regardless.
Big Order:
This is the one over at Anime Corps. I talk about it a lot on the Spring Season post.
But long story short, it is by the same writer, studio, and mangaka, as Future Dairy. So I am looking forward to it, even if the two main characters are a bit of a mirror to Yukki and Yuno. More on my thoughts on that post, so check it out.
Quasi-First Impressions
Like I said, it is not really first impressions, it is first three episode impressions.
Ace Attorney Anime:
I don’t feel like typing out the full name for the Japanese version. But the English name for the games is Ace Attorney. I never played the games, I have been curious to play them. So, might as well watch the anime before thinking of doing that only to ignore my thoughts about the anime and probably get the games.
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?
This was the other series I was thinking of reviewing over Big Order. But I felt more comfortable with Big Order since I knew what I was getting into. This one I know a little less. Still want to check out the anime since it has been awhile since I just said, “Screw it I want to watch a harem.” The last harem anime I watched, enjoyed was Monster Musume. Sure I am going to watch Asterisk War Season 2, but it was alright at best. Hopefully this harem game girl anime thing will be alright.
Other Shows:
What other shows? Hahaha. But seriously it seems to be lacking. Either way time to see what I would like to watch only to prove myself wrong and there being a lot on the list. Most in which haunt me for being series I said I would review a long time ago, but never mind that.
Italics means I am uncertain if I will watch the first episode or not.
- Koutetsujou no Kabaneri
- Asterisk Wars S2
- Boku no Hero Academia
- Magi: Sinbad no Bouken (Still haven’t seen Magi S2 for Review)
- Hundred
- Flying Witch
- Rin-ne S2
- Sailor Moon Crystal S3 (Still need to finish Crystal for Review)
- Onigiri
- Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096
- Macross Delta
Wait, that can’t be it? Really? Wow, hard to think a year ago I would try about 20 different anime each season. Either way I am guessing like 4 will be dropped for whatever reason. But that is still only 14 new series in general that I want to check out.
As always I hope you enjoyed.
