Season two has come to an end. It is hard to think so. Well, I will say what I did at the end of season one. If I am still blogging and Season 3 comes out, then I will do weekly reviews of it.  Either way, time to stick through it to the end, and talk about the episode.

The Plot:

So, with Aqua’s Angry Cult going on a rampage, the gang escapes via giant floating Aqua.

They decide to go with Aqua and go to the main hot springs. Of course, they are not fully believing the fact that Aqua says someone is poisoning the hot springs to cut off her cults main source of income. Aqua flirts badly to try to get in, and fails. But it all works out in the end since they just use Darkness’ status.

When they get to the hot springs, well, remember the guy from the previous episode that was getting just as badly of a treatment as Kazuma, well, he is poisoning the hot springs. To top it off, Wiz thinks he looks familiar, and he is. He happens to be one of the Devil King’s minions. He is a Deadly Poison Slime.

Kazuma thinks he can easily take him. But with how this world is, slimes are not the easiest creatures, instead one of the deadliest. To top it off, Hans, as the smile is called, he oversees the Devil King’s army.

Needless to say, they run away, well before the run into the cult and they then run back towards Hans.

So, it was mentioned that Wiz needs to stay out of the fighting due to the agreement. She maintains the barrier and leaves them alone. But it turns out she can fight them if they harm innocent civilians. Hans did. Well, Wiz gets angry, scary angry.

Hans goes into his true form, and Wiz is on the attack. Aqua’s cult shows up, and although they believe Aqua now, they still attack Darkness for the Eris reason.

Kazuma comes up with a plan, since he finds out that Aqua can revive him even if he is just a bag of bones. So, since Wiz needs Hans to be smaller. Kazuma gets chased, to get eaten. Megumin does her Explosion. Then Wiz deals the seemingly final blow.

But that does not beat Hans. Aqua shows up, with her rage, not only lands a God Blow, but due to the chants of her cult, she lands God Blow Requiem to defeat Hans.

However, at the end of the day, they are kicked out-of-town. Aqua sort of purified the hot springs to be normal hot water with that God Blow Requiem.  Wiz nearly dies again. But they make it back home, so Megumin can be challenged by Yunyun.

The show ends with Kazuma being thankful for the adventures.

Overall Thoughts:

It was a good episode, but the only problem I can think about, well it relates to the season as a whole. So, I will cover that in the season review.  This episode really felt like it was just the ending of the story arc. It was the same way in the first season, so there is nothing wrong with that. I do not think this show could be capable of getting a satisfying conclusion unless it covers everything.

As for the episode, it was fairly enjoyable. It was nice to see the fact that pretty much Aqua’s conspiracy theory not only turned out to be true, but also the end result was her own cause.

This episode really had Wiz shining, which was nice. She may not be part of the group, but she has been in a few of the big fights. It is honestly starting to seem like she might be in group more often, and I do not have a problem with that.

Still this episode was fun, and the hopes for a third season are still there. But unlike the first season, this did not end on the announcement of S2. But it did give hope by cutting off and also saying the group is going for the final battle.

Overall Enjoyment: 90/100
