So, at the time of writing this Fate/Go still hasn’t done the summer event, so, at least this episode is not a reminder if I am to fail at rolling for Archer Artoria, aka Summer Time Saber. But, anyway, enough about Fate/Go time to talk about the show.
So, Shirou was given tickets by Fuji-nee to a water park, so both Saber and Rin tag along with him.
Thus, they have fun, lots and lots of fun. Unfortunately, the heat where I am certainly making me envious of how cool it looks there for them. But, either way, they have fun as a group.
Eventually Rider shows up, so it turns into a volleyball battle with Shirou and Saber vs Rider and Rin. But, this battle soon ends as two others join the fight, Cu and Shirou’s future self, Archer.
Unlike the seemingly friendly competition earlier, these two, or more specifically Archer is not hold back. I really like how they just did not want to show his eyes throughout it all. He is the only character they have done this with. But, anyway, it soon turns into everyone (Except Shirou) using their full power to fight it out. It seems like they all had a competitive side.
Once the fighting stopped, well, that evening Rin is tired, and they try relaxing at Shirou’s place. Shirou then does his usual and makes the food. This time when he turned around no one was there.
In fact, Rin and Saber moved outside and let the cool breeze help them. Despite not being too hungry everyone still grabs more to eat as the relax for the evening to end the episode.
This was a pretty fun episode, despite the food being the main dish for this series, well, it certainly came off as a side treat. Normally it takes the main focus or more time in the episode, but this time not so much. It was a fun episode, and certainly nice to see the fact that they still have their powers. Although I doubt we will see Archer using Unlimited Blade Works any time soon to make a meal.
This episode was enjoyable, and trying to be more fun and enjoy summer. It certainly was weird with food not being the main focus, but the enjoyment was still high and it was nice to see them doing something different to get away from what could easily turn into a repeatable plot of doing something for a minute at the start, then make food, then eat food for the other 10 minutes to end the episode. I certainly would not mind more episodes like this, but, more than anything I would like to see more of the servants appear.
Overall Enjoyment: 99/100
