Wow, ten months of this show. I know each month I say something similar, or something about “Wow this series is great.” But anyway, let’s get right into it.
The Plot:
Shirou has been coming home late lately. There is a reason for this, the school festival is coming up and he has been helping out, mostly with little things, but he still is helping.
Issei has been working hard, rejecting and accepting proposals, he is the class president. He is also seemingly power-hungry and quick to reject one that was already set in motion.
But, with all this work and preparation for the big day, the student council members have been not eating the greatest. Shirou of course offers, which immediately gets the nearly dead members to salivate at the mouth on the thought of trying his cooking.
So, what is on the menu, fried chicken.
Of course like always they enjoy it.
Thus, Shirou then rushes home realizing how late it is to cook a meal for Artoria.
Overall Thoughts:
I honestly find it harder to talk about the show the longer it goes. I mean, it is always the same, good food and good reactions. But, taking away all that, there is still something to be said about this show. Characters that are rarely scene get some time to shine, and well, it is nice to see their interactions with one another. This episode is no different. It certainly had a nice set up, and while previous episodes some had meaning behind the food or reason to cook, this one, not so much. But, it still came off as the bonus this episode. There is nothing wrong with that, after all it is a cooking show and there needs to be some cooking.
Either way, another decent episode, with little if any room to get too nitpicky at. I honestly cannot see a reason. I mean, I almost thought for a second there would be no cooking, but, well, obviously there was.
Overall Enjoyment: 90/100
