It is hard to believe this show aired monthly, it certainly did not feel that way. Episode one now being a year old, it honestly feels like it just came out yesterday. And now it is over, it is certainly weird to think that. Anyway, time to get started, one last time.

The Plot:

Apparently, snow is in the forecast, and everyone is reacting their own way. Fuji-nee is bringing stuff from home to stay warm at work. But Shirou on the other hand has an idea what to make for supper that night.

It starts to snow, and Shirou tells Saber what he plans to make, Hot Pot.

It is then when Sakura, Rider, and Fuji-nee start showing up, each have something to contribute to the food.

After a rather short prep time, the food is done, and everyone starts to eat. But, unlike normal, this is not the final meal. Shirou takes the broth, some rice, and a few other things to make a nice side dish for everyone.

Everyone soon leaves, leaving Shirou and Saber to themselves. Saber mentions how all their time together has been such a precious experience.

While the episode does end there, it was a nice touch for the ending theme to have images of all the previous episodes.

Overall Thoughts:

It’s over. It is always weird when the final episode comes around and honestly, I always feel like I have nothing to say. It is nice, since it feels like an accomplishment for reviewing a show all the way through. This show feels different. It makes me want more and feel a little empty knowing next month there will not be another new episode. That is probably the downside to this series is knowing this, after getting so used to it airing only once a month.

However, despite how I feel for the show as a whole, it does not change the fact on how I feel for this episode. It was a great way to end it, maybe not the food part, but more on what Saber was saying, how it is nice to have a meal that brings everyone together, and that is what this series was about. Having fun with friends while enjoying delicious food.

I find it hard to say more than this, it was that statement that not only brought this episode into a nice way as a means to wrap up, but the series as well. It feels like a lot of series do not do that, they either end with hopes of more or if it really is the end, it just ends with nothing more. But this seemed different, there was a lesion to it, or self-reflection that gave it more of a presence.

So, yes I did enjoy this episode and series, it certainly is a shame to see it go, it was also nice to see a rather different side of the Fate series, one I hope we will see another different side of in Lord El-Mellio’s Case Files.

Overall Enjoyment: 99/100
