Sunshine Award and Real Neat Blog Award Nomination from The Yuri Nation

For starts as a person who said he was going to stop doing these he really has not kept his word. But oh well. Here I am again, and I decided whenever I get nominated for these things they will just come out on a single day. Anyway enough about that.

This time I was nominated by my friend, Overlord-G, also known as Og-Man on twitter. He runs The Yuri Nation. So thank you for the nomination. It is also now when I realize I was also nominated for a Real Neat Blog award by him as well and both questions will be answered. There was also the fact he referred to me as Joey Mercury, and I did not know who he was till I looked it up in Google, anyway enough about that, thank you and time to get started.

Hello again, I originally said I was going to stop doing award based posts for a while, but I was nominated for two different ones that I have not done before and I do what I want. For this one I will not nominate people. But the next one I will. This one, as the title suggests, is the Real Neat Blog Award.

Sunshine Award Nomination 5 Shay-Shay’s Anime Blog

 

So, now that seemingly the Sunshine Award Nominations have swept through and now comes to the final one that I received during that two-week hiatus. Not sure why I am putting this here other than the typical fact that it feels like that there should always be an introduction to the post that takes up at least four of five lines so my mind does not feel like it is going to explode. Anyway with that said. Let’s start.

So this one was by Animereviewergirl and her blog Shay-Shay’s Anime Blog. Check it out she does a lot of discussion based posts that can really get people thinking be it in the anime community on certain topics or what anime means to people, she also does the occasional anime review and a Sailor Moon Crystal episode review.

Liebster Award Nomination 7: Ainoanime

Well, as a side note with all the awards that have been nominated lately to me, and the fact that I still have one or two more after this one. It is safe to say that after these, I really should start turning them down for at least a few months, probably till September or October. But that is a discussion for another time and I also still have no more references to do for the titles since the first five where Die Hard references and I forgot what reference I made in the sixth one. Anyway I am not nominating anyone. But check out the person who nominated me blog.

So, now to really begin and to start of by saying thank you Ainoanime from Aino Anime for nominating me. They are relatively new to blogging, although only about a month later than when I started, but they have been coming out with more posts recently, which main focuses on reviews, so check that out if you are interested.

I decided not to bother with that long starting point. So, thanks everyone at AnimeCorps for the nomination. More than likely Nick was the one who thought of the people to nominate. So, thanks Nick, still thanks everyone else there too. So, after having so many for the nominating other people and being nominated, well I am sort of out of ideas of people to nominate who have already been nominated. So, no nomination for this one.

So, like anyways, those were the rules time for the questions.

 

1. What made you start blogging?

I started blogging for two reasons; don’t have anyone to talk to about anime or manga in my daily life, which that I can easily say that has been achieved now. I also thought of doing a blog for some time not sure what, I just did.

 

2. What are your favorite anime series?

Favorite has to be Fairy Tail, now I would like to state just because it is my favorite this stems more from the nostalgia to it and the fact without it I would not have gotten into as much anime as I did without it. I still enjoy it though, maybe not as much as I originally did, but there are somethings that can get me excited for it from time to time.

3. What is the funniest thing that has happened in your life?

That is kind of hard, normally I would have to say something me or my brothers did but that is kind of vague. Not really sure.

4. Outside of blogging what is a hobby that you enjoy?

I enjoy the obvious writing, watching anime, reading comics or manga, and that is all I really got going for me. Not a lot in my area to do something and not a lot of things that I would be motivated to do.

 

5. If you are watching the new anime season, what is your favorite anime? If you are not, what was a show or movie that you recently watched that you really enjoyed?

This one would be down to one of the following three, DanMachi, Kekkai Sensen, or Rinne.

 

6. What is your favorite live-action television series?

Favorite live action would be Psych, although that ended and because of remembering the fact that my favorite show ever that was a crime based series and it now being the last one I watched I am now crying internally for remembering that, so ongoing one would be Agents of Shield since I am a Marvel fan boy and this being one of the few live-action series I still actually watch, care about, and not use my computer durring.

7. How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Seven, because why not seven.

This award is, after going off of several different posts to see what it is about, given to other bloggers that who are positive and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere. I Celebrate Six Months

Well, my first post was technically December 1^st, even though the Date a Live review came out on the 8^th. Anyway this will be the only time where I will do a post like this unless it is a year mark. That and with a lot of blogs that started around the time that I did have all come and gone I think it feels right for surviving to celebrate being around for six months in the blogging community.

So, let me begin by saying hello, I am Joe and I just want to say thank you to everyone. So, narcissism states that my gift from me to you is a pic of my face, not sure why, but anyway. (Kind of wanted to show my face just because it will make it feel as if I am closer with my blog and what not. Only time I will probably since I am bad at taking pictures. Give me a break that was my first Selfie, if that is considered a Selfie.) These past six months have been really fun. The last few years of college have been weird, and well I am not really good at talking to people. Yet, through the past few months in blogging here it feels like I made a lot of friends, acquaintances, and just people I could talk to from time to time.

Sure the Reviewer’s Corner did not really get a lot of consistent traffic until March. This was after the 30 Day anime challenge, which really helped. Anyway I am keeping this post rather short, since one I plan do a major discussion for the one year anniversary, and two I do not want to make this post completely about myself.

So, although I do not know how many e-mail followers is spam and which ones are not, those of you that are not spam thank you. I wish there was a better way to put that, so I am sorry. But I know there are several people that do follow only by e-mail, so those that do thanks.

Next, to each and every one of the 75 followers that has followed this blog since it began, excluding myself of course, thank you as well.

Now I am not done yet. There are several people that I wish to thank personally, for various reasons. Each links to their blog.

 

Miharusshi she runs Anime Vios. A great friend and without her it really feels like on Twitter I would not have become as social as I did and the same goes for here as well. It is really because of this that I was able to talk to a lot of people just in general. It is always fun to talk to you when we can, and it is just as fun when it is in a group when we have seemingly five talks all together. So, thank you.

I saw this today on her blog, thank you it made me laugh. Although I have been into anime for 3 years, although that is sort of recent compared to some fans. It is still true though.

 

Nick from AnimeCorps. A great friend and although he may have given me the idea for the blogroll, but it was not for another month or so later till I talked with him almost daily, which it can just really be about anything really which is always fun.  As a side note thanks for getting me into Love Live after seeing countless number of Maki spam I caved in. Also curse thank you at the same time for getting me addicted to the Love Live School Idol Festival game as well. Anyway, thank you.

 

Dandylion13 from Viewer Discretion is Advised. A great friend and although we have not talked in while, when we did between our blogs it was fun. You have helped give me some ideas on what I should do, especially with the schedule I sometimes struggle to follow. It was fun for some of the conversations that we had over the last few months. Anyway, thank you, and I hope we can talk again at some point.

 

Deven from Anime Reviews and Lots of Other Stuff! also from AnimeCorps. Great friend, and not going to lie I keep forgetting how we really went about talking to each other. I think it was from Nick at first. But after that between Fate Stay Night, and Fairy Tail being our biggest discussions between the two of us it has been a lot of fun between that and all the random other talks between us be it here blogging or on twitter. So, thank you.
